Compulsive internet use - instant messengers, chat rooms, online games, pornography, etc. - are becoming an increasing problem in recent years as more individuals and families get connected to the 'net and search engines improve in their ability to locate information in the internet and index it. Fortunately, recent research and advances in counseling and therapy are helping us to learn more about the causes of these problems and effective treatments.
